Once again, exhibitors have a chance to be put in a special SL11B section of the SL Destination Guide (http://secondlife.com/destinations/sl11b). The Editors of the Guide have reserved a special spot for us and are letting us contact them one of two ways.

EITHER, you can sign up via the form. To do so, get a few things ready:

1. Call an EA over and make sure they

  • put a title on your parcel,
  • set your landing point, and
  • set your parcel to “hangout.”

2. Take a photo of your parcel or provide a piece of artwork to be used in the guide. The photo needs to be 657 X 394 or larger (with that ratio) and needs to be appropriate for a general audience. It can not be an advertisement.

If you want more information about good photos to use, go to the FAQ page for the Destination Guide. They have some great tips:

3. Upload your graphic to Flickr or Photobucket.

4. Write up a quick description, 400 characters or less, about your exhibit. (If you have done descriptions for your parcel and for the pod, you should have a good idea already.)

5. THEN go to this page: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/SL11B-is-Coming-Community-Celebration-and-Call-for-Events/ba-p/2721868

  • Category you choose should be SL11B
  • Venue Title is as you named it
  • Use the drop down menu to find your exact parcel. Make sure it’s yours!
  • Provide the url for your graphic.
  • Check that you permit Linden Lab to use the image.
  • Enter your description.
  • Agree to the terms and hit “Send Form.”

OR you can email all the information to the editors. To do this:

3. Write up a quick description, 400 characters or less, about your exhibit. (If you have done descriptions for your parcel and for the pod, you should have a good idea already.)

4. Prepare an email to editor@lindenlab.com. The subject needs to be “SL11B.” Put the following info into the email:

  1.  Venue title
  2. SLurl
  3. The description you wrote.
  4. Your image

Understand that emailing this information implies you agree to the terms they have set forth at http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/SL11B-is-Coming-Community-Celebration-and-Call-for-Events/ba-p/2721868

The editor may not acknowledge receipt. Assume if the email went through, they got it. Make sure all the information is there so they can get you in the Guide!

Linden Lab editors review and choose all the submissions and promote them at their discretion as Editors’ Picks, so if you hope to get more people looking at your exhibit, do your best on your submission!
